In Victorian times a suggestion of a three dimensional image could be achieved with a lenticular array. In this suggestion a lens array may be used to allow a two way screen for 3-D viewing, both ways.
I suggest that a three - D image may be built up of image points on an array of small screens behind an array of converging lenses. Each lens takes a point in its image plane and makes a parallel ray of light from this point.
The images are made up by an array of lenses where the image on a photosensitive screen is the right way up and not laterally inverted.
An array of alternate Cameras and Viewers makes up the viewing screen.
A patent for this idea was abandoned by me many years ago because of lack of resources.
